Weapons' Round Power
by Hammer
The table below shows the relative power of the various fighter weapons in Aces
High II based on the number of rounds required to kill a hangar from point blank
range. This value is shown in the RtKH (Rounds to Kill Hangar) column of the
chart. The "Relative Power" column then compares the power of that round against
the U.S. .50 cal round, which is given a value of "1". The next two columns give
possible expected power of the round based on Tony Williams' article WW2 Fighter
Armament Effectiveness from Tony Williams' Website. The numbers from the "Power"
column were adjusted to give the .50 cal round a rating of "1" for direct
comparison with the RtKH numbers.

Test Procedures: Testing was done off-line with Arena Settings set to "Default"
and "Protect Objects" turned off so I could destroy friendly hangars. I simply
rolled a fighter up to a hangar and blasted away. Once I had an approximate number
of rounds, I repeated the process until I could duplicate the number of rounds
required to destroy the hangar.
